Fantastic fresh produce,Clearly good quality ingredients produced by chefs not cooks this makes the difference. For the surroundings and service this farm shop is a cut above the rest.Just excellent
Disappointed by the attitude of the manager, he didnt really need to have a meeting in full view in the coffee shop -not very professional.
In my opinion the quality of the food does not warrant the overstated prices.
Also the staff do not seem very friendly!
Farm shop lovely for meat but prices gone up a bit since opening. Cheese really expensive, 3 bits came to £11 something. Coffee shop nice and they do sandwiches, salad and crisps for children. Animals outside lovely although their disregard for the ducks welfare somewhat distressing as they let their labrador chase them causing one poor duck to fly into a parked car. When the owner told he just laughed it off as a game the dog liked playing!! Neston also took over the cheese board shop in Bradford on Avon. That is a real shame the lady retired as it has lost it’s charm. Where all the produce was displayed we now have a row of freezers/fridges with meats. Miss the cornish pasties and pork pies they sold before and all the chocs and biscuits. Used to always buy valentines and easter gifts there. Window display not as inviting.
Fabulous place, we get all our bread and meat from here, its just up the road and the best local shop we could wish for, the staff are helpful and friendly, the produce second to none.
often take friends and family over for lunch when they are around, and kids love the animals, especially the piglets.
We rant about the sour dough loafs, they really are amazing quality and the sausage rolls are a a lunchtime favorite.
just seen a Christmas shop being set up and our nearest and dearest will be in little doubt as to where their gifts are coming form this year.
all in all, having moved down from London we are over the moon to find such a shop so close by
Extremely expensive. I think “farm shop” is a bit of a mis-nomer. The attraction of farm shops for me was cutting out the middle man and getting fresh produce from source. At this farm shop, they seem to have bought in a lot of deli items and jars/dry goods but kept margins as high as Bath specialist retailers. Shame.
The cafe is nice though for a hot chocolate and cake after a long walk in the area.
The cafe is going from strength to strength, delicious ploughman’s with their home baked bread and large portions! good barbecue meats on the butchers counter too.
The bread and cakes are great, but a lot of their jars/dry products don’t appear to be locally sourced and it hasn’t got a rustic feel if that’s the type of farm shop you are looking for.
Fabulous bread baked on site, i love the baguettes! they also have a good range of meat on the butchers counter and also a small cafe offering tempting cakes. Friendly, knowledgeable staff and quite upmarket compared to other farm shops locally.
