I don’t know about “rough and ready” – it’s a Yorkshire farm shop, not Harrods food hall. Jackson’s meat is excellent – locally sourced, properly hung and full of flavour. Very good value, too – I shall be going there again for my Christmas order.
This farm shop is a bit rough and ready compared to others i’ve been to, but they did sell some very nice local wensleydale cheese and had a good range of local chutneys. The range of fresh vegetables was a bit limited but we did visit a bit late in the day.
